Medical Uses

Vyloy (zolbetuximab-clzb) is a claudin 18.2-directed cytolytic antibody and is used along with fluoropyrimidine- and platinum-containing chemotherapy for the first-line treatment of adults with locally advanced unresectable or metastatic HER2- gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer whose tumors are claudin (CLDN) 18.2 positive.

Recommended Dosage: The recommended dosage of zolbetuximab-clzb is administered in combination with fluoropyrimidine- and platinum-containing chemotherapy. The initial dose is 800 mg/m² administered intravenously. For subsequent doses, administer 600 mg/m² every 3 weeks or 400 mg/m² every 2 weeks. Continue treatment until there is evidence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs.

Warning & Precautions

  • Treatment with this medicinal product may cause severe hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis. Monitor patients throughout and after the infusion. Stop treatment immediately in case symptoms like rash, breathing difficulty, or swelling occur. Provide relevant emergency medical treatment.
  • Before starting each infusion of Vyloy 100 mg, pre-medicate patients with a combination of antiemetics (e.g., NK-1 receptor blockers and/or 5-HT3 receptor blockers, as well as other medicines as indicated) to prevent nausea and vomiting.
  • In patients, receiving treatment with Vyloy 100 mg Infusion-related reactions, such as fever, chills, or low blood pressure, may occur. Slow or discontinue the infusion if symptoms appear. Premedicate instructed by your healthcare provider (HCP) to reduce the possibility of these reactions.
  • This therapeutic drug can cause serious nausea and vomiting, which may lead to dehydration. Use anti-nausea medications as required. Monitor patients mainly during the initial phase of therapy, and ensure appropriate hydration to avoid complications.
  • This medicine may harm an unborn baby. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for a specific period afterward. Pregnant patients should be aware of potential risks and consider alternative therapies when possible.
  • It is not known if this medicine passes into breast milk. Because of potential risks to the infant, breastfeeding needs to be avoided during treatment and for a specified time after the last dose. Consult your clinician for guidance.
