Zejula (Niraparib) is a poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor used:
- for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with advanced epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer who are in a complete or partial response to first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.

- Complete blood counts should be monitored weekly for the first month, monthly for the next 11 months of treatment with niraparib capsules, and periodically after this time.
- Blood pressure and heart rate should be monitored at least weekly for the first two months, then monthly for the first year and periodically thereafter while on therapy with zejula 100 mg capsules.
- Patients should be closely monitored for cardiovascular disorders, especially coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias, and hypertension.
- Mechanism of action suggests that the zejula drug can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman.
- The lactating women should avoid breastfeeding during treatment with niraparib dosage and for 1 month after taking the final dose.
