Tepmetko is a kinase inhibitor used for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) exon 14 skipping alterations.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dosage is 450 mg orally once daily with food until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.Dose of Tepmetko tablet is taken at approximately the fixed time every day. Swallow the tablets whole. Do not chew, crush or split tablets. Do not to make up a missed dose within 8 hours of the next scheduled dose. In case vomiting occurs after taking a dose, patients should take the next dose at the scheduled time.
- ILD/pneumonitis, which can be fatal, occurred in patients treated with Tepmetko 225 mg tabets. Assess patients for new or worsening pulmonary signs/symptoms indicative of ILD/pneumonitis (e.g., cough, dyspnea, fever).
- Hepatotoxicity occurred in patients treated with Tepotinib. Monitor liver function tests (including AST, ALT, and total bilirubin) prior to the start of Tepotinib, every 2 weeks during the initial three months of treatment, then monthly, with a bit more frequent testing in those who develop enhanced transaminases or bilirubin.
- Depending on findings and its mechanism of action Tepmetko 225 mg can cause fetal harm if used by a pregnant woman. Females of reproductive age or males with female partners of reproductive age should use apt contraception during treatment and for 1-week after the last dose.
- Breastfeeding is restricted in women’s taking treatment with Tepotinib 225 mg. Women should not breastfeed during treatment and for 1-week after the last dose.
- Respective patients should inform their health specialist of all concomitant medicines, including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs and herbal products.
