• Malignant Effusions: For treating malignant effusions, the recommended Thiotepa dose is 0.6 to 0.8 mg/kg, given intracavitary through the same tubing used to remove the fluid. Doses are typically administered every 1 to 4 weeks. Start with the higher dose and adjust weekly based on blood counts. Maintenance doses should not be given more than once a week.
• Superficial Papillary Carcinoma of the Urinary Bladder: The recommended dose of Thiotepa for treating superficial papillary carcinoma of the bladder is 60 mg in 30 to 60 mL of Sodium Chloride, administered via catheter into the bladder. The solution should be retained for 2 hours. If 60 mL is difficult to retain, use 30 mL. Reposition the patient every 15 minutes for better contact. Treatment is typically once a week for 4 weeks. If needed, the course may be repeated, but with caution due to the risk of increased bone marrow depression.

• Treatment with Thiotepa 15 mg or 100 mg injection can significantly lower blood cell counts, leading to an increased risk of infections, bleeding, and anemia. Regular blood tests are essential to monitor blood cell levels and manage any issues promptly.
