Duvyzat (givinostat) is a histone deacetylase inhibitor used for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in patients aged 6 years and older.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dosage of Duvyzat is based on body weight and administered orally twice daily with food. Recommended dosage in patients 6 years of age and older for the treatment of DMD is as follows:
- for patients 10 kg to less than 20 kg: The recommended dose is 22.2 mg twice daily (2.5 mL twice daily)
- for patients 20 kg to less than 40 kg: The recommended dose is 31 mg twice daily (3.5 mL twice daily)
- for patients 40 kg to less than 60 kg: The recommended dose is 44.3 mg twice daily (5 mL twice daily)
- for patients 60 kg or more: The recommended dose is 53.2 mg twice daily (6 mL twice daily)
