- Patients treated with Bkemv 300 mg/30 mL are at increased risk for serious meningococcal infections. It is crucial to vaccinate patients against meningococcal infections at least two weeks before initiating therapy unless the risks of delaying treatment outweigh the risks of infection. Monitor patients for early signs of meningococcal infections and advise them to seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms such as headache, fever, or stiff neck.
- Treatment with Eculizumab-aeeb can increase susceptibility to infections. It is crucial to monitor patients for signs of infection, including common and opportunistic infections. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are necessary if an infection is suspected. Patients should be educated on recognizing the symptoms of infection and the importance of reporting them promptly.
- In addition to meningococcal infections, patients receiving eculizumab-aeeb injections may be at higher risk for other bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. Continuous vigilance and preventive measures, such as vaccinations and prophylactic treatments, should be considered based on the patient’s overall health status and immunization history.
- Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported with eculizumab-aeeb 300 mg/30 mL. If a hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue the infusion immediately and initiate appropriate medical treatment. Patients should be monitored closely during and after the infusion for any signs of hypersensitivity.
- Infusion reactions may occur during the administration of eculizumab-aeeb. These reactions can include fever, chills, and hypertension. Patients should be monitored during the infusion, and supportive measures should be available to manage any adverse reactions that may arise.
- Patients with existing chronic infections or underlying immune system disorders should be treated with caution. The potential benefits of eculizumab-aeeb must be weighed against the increased risk of exacerbating these conditions. Regular monitoring and appropriate management strategies should be implemented to mitigate risks.
