• Yondelis is a vesicant, meaning it can cause severe tissue damage if it leaks out of the vein during administration. Ensure proper intravenous (IV) technique and closely monitor the infusion site for signs of extravasation, such as redness, swelling, or pain. If extravasation occurs, follow appropriate management protocols.
• Yondelis injection can cause fetal harm when administered to pregnant women. Advise women of reproductive potential to use effective contraception during treatment and for several months after the last dose. Pregnancy testing should be conducted before starting therapy.
• Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported with Yondelis. Monitor patients for signs of allergic reactions, especially during the first infusion.
