Tazverik is a methyltransferase inhibitor used for the treatment of:
- Adults as well as pediatric patients aged 16 years and older with metastatic/locally advanced epithelioid sarcoma who are not candidates for complete resection.
- Adult patients with relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma whose tumors are +Ve for an EZH2 mutation and who have previously treated at least two systemic therapies.
- Adult patients with relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma who have no satisfactory substitute treatment options.
Recommended Dosage: The recommended dosage is 800 mg orally twice daily with or without food until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. Swallow the tazverik tablets whole. Do not chew, cut, or crush tablets. Do not take any additional doses in case a dose is missed or vomiting occurs after taking Tazverik. Continue with the very next scheduled dose.
- Probability of developing secondary malignancies is increased following treatment with Tazemetostat. Assess patients long-term for the development of secondary malignancies.
- Depending on the findings from animal studies and its mechanism of action, treatment with tazverik 200 mg tablets can be responsible for causing fetal harm if administered to pregnant women.
- Advise females who conceived pregnancy about the potential risk to a fetus. Females of reproductive age or potential should use appropriate contraception during treatment with Tazemetostat and for 6 months after the last dose.
- Males with female partners of reproductive age or potential should use effective contraception during treatment with Tazemetostat and for 3 months after the last dose.
- Women should not breastfeed their child during treatment with Tazemetostat pills and for 1 week after the last dose.
