Warning & Precautions

  • Hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, may occur in patients treated with enzyme replacement therapies, including Agalsidase beta 5 mg/35 mg. Stop treatment immediately if reactions occur. Premedicate and closely monitor patients during infusions to manage and minimize the risk of hypersensitivity reactions.
  • The formation of anti-drug antibodies, including neutralizing antibodies, has been noticed. Regularly monitor patients for antibody formation, which may scale down Fabrazyme’s effectiveness or increase the probability of infusion-related reactions.
  • Limited data are available on the use of Fabrazyme injection during pregnancy. Administer it only if the probable benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus. Discuss other potential options with pregnant patients before starting therapy.
  • It is unknown if this medicinal product is excreted in human milk. Caution is required when using this medicine to breastfeeding mothers, weighing the benefits of treatment against the potential risk to the nursing infant.
  • The most commonly noticed symptoms include fever, chills, and nausea. Scale down the infusion rate or provide symptomatic treatment as required to manage reactions and ensure patient comfort.
