Medical Uses

Cobenfy is an oral fixed-dose combination (FDC) of xanomeline (a muscarinic agonist) and trospium chloride (a muscarinic antagonist). This therapeutic drug is used for the treatment of adult patients with schizophrenia.

Recommended Dosage: The recommended starting dosage of Cobenfy is one 50 mg/20 mg capsule (contains xanomeline 50 mg and trospium chloride 20 mg) orally twice daily for at least 2 days. The dosage can be increased to one 100 mg/20 mg capsule (contains xanomeline 100 mg and trospium chloride 20 mg) orally twice daily for at least 5 days. The dosage may be increased to one 125 mg/30 mg capsule (contains xanomeline 125 mg and trospium chloride 30 mg) orally twice daily based on patient tolerability and response. The maximum recommended dosage is 125 mg/30 mg orally twice daily. This therapeutic drug is taken orally at least 1 hour before a meal or at least 2 hours after a meal.
